Gotta Go?

I find it fascinating that some people refuse to use public restrooms. I understand passing up the occasional Port-A-Potty, but I know a number of people (mostly women) who are willing to "hold it" for hours rather than use a restroom at work or even a friends house. I'm all for playing it safe when it comes to sanitation, but the cost vs. benefit of waiting is just not compelling enough for me. What about you?

Basically, I prefer not to use unseemly restrooms. And if you need to do something unseemly, you should wait til you are in the privacy of your own home. But in a crisis, you do what you have to do.

I'll go just about anywhere. I've even toyed with ducking behind bushes when I'm running--luckily it has not come to that. But given the choice between a public restroom and holding it? Pass me the hand sanitizer. Holding it is just not worth it to me.

I hope you don't mind a random comment from one of Ashley's friends :) I just learned in one of my classes that "fear of public restrooms" is the #2 social phobia, following public speaking. Who knew?

Wait until Ashley takes one of your little cherubs to the potty and they refuse to go because it is "too dirty." She'll get hers, ha ha ha.

Toilets are my friends. I'm a little hesitant to go to Asia, though. I've heard about the holes in the ground.

I'm with Molly. Nothing is worse than holding it when you've GOT to go.

I am also with Molly, I think especially if you have ever been involved with sports or tournaments you just have to get over it...otherwise life is unpleasant and dehydration is just not an option when playing. I am obviously not what anyone would call and athlete at this point but I guess I got over it and it stuck.
On a side note OF COURSE it is mostly women with issues, public restrooms are a completely different experience compared to you men.

I can't hold it. It's just too painful. I hate disgusting public restrooms but I'm so glad they're there because I need them a lot. My sister has trained her kids to never go in public. I tried to train myself but it wasn't possible. I don't know how they do it.
